Rue (Ruta graveolens)

This graceful plant has deeply divided, blue-green leaves. Insects tend to dislike rue so plant near vegetables, flowers and compost heaps to keep them at bay. Can be used sparingly as a salad green. The juice is a skin irritant and can cause blistering. It has yellow flowers in the summer. Grow in rich, well-drained soil in full sun. Ht.: 36”. (3 1/2” Pot-Zone 4 Perennial)
